The first way when you arrive at noon in the forest train to eat. Very delicious food large selection nicely arranged. Nice and friendly service and waiters. Overall, it was very nice and good. You can recommend it

We were eating and were not allowed to sit on a table of ten as a family (!!) with 11 people. Instead of simply adding a chair, 2 people had to sit on a completely different table :( The service was very unfriendly 👎🏻 Still, the food tasted good.

There is not much to say about that, great rooms, great food and great staff. We like to come back to test the sauna after the next hiking tour.

Well-kept restaurant, friendly service. Good kitchen. Relatively high prices for relatively small portions.

We were guests in the hotel for a weekend and felt completely at ease. Our room was simple but comfortable and very clean. The cleaning staff do a great job here. The ladies and gentlemen in the service area also seem to enjoy doing their job. Our biggest compliments, however, go to the kitchen, because we have rarely eaten so well. We can only recommend the hotel and the restaurant.

Always get good food, staff friendly. If you want to eat out in Zwiesel, this is the place for you.

It was the first time we had dinner in the "Zur Waldbahn" inn and we were more than surprised by the friendliness and the more than good food. My husband and I both ate a "vital salad" !!! The evaluation of it can only be described as grandiose. The salad was very large, with a super tasty sauce and different types of fruit. We will definitely repeat that 👍👍👍😊😋

Good food with large portions, great ice cream, friendly service and a nice outdoor area under old linden trees. There were also vegetarian dishes (not just salad or the dumplings or noodles with sauce or mushrooms that are common in the Bavarian Forest) - this selection can be expanded. We would love to come back.

Ideally located hotel and not only if you want to take the forest train. You don't get anything from the train station, but you still have all the options. We found the food particularly positive, everything was excellent and we tried almost the entire menu during the three days. The only drawback - closed on Monday :( It's also great that, despite Corona, there was a breakfast buffet again - of course with the necessary precautions. Room with a balcony and a view of the city and the surrounding mountains was absolutely fine. The staff was always courteous and friendly. Conclusion: absolutely recommendable and anytime again!

Excellent coffee, nice ice-cream with spirits. Well served. Tasty beer. Prices normal for a touristic place in Bavaria. Very nice if you have to wait 2 hours on your train connection. Service in Bavarian (stay strong)

incredible place i a lovely little town

The hotel / restaurant Zur Waldbahn offers delicious regional offers as well as very good fish and steaks. The staff are very friendly and our dog always gets a water when we bring him. I always eat Bavarian specialties, this time crusty roast with dumplings and my wife ordered mushroom with dumplings. She says this is the only place where the mushrooms taste like their grandma and that is probably the biggest praise. That's why 5 stars.

Delicious food, ate the rump steak from the Angus ox and that was nice medium fried and very juicy and soft, the fries were very good. The two other meals from my companions were also delicious. Price performance good. The only thing that can bother you is when you sit outside the noise from traffic. Otherwise everything was great!

Excellent traditional Bavarian food, friendly staff, close to Zwiesel train station.

A reasonably Cozy place with a terrace and seating in the street serving good-quality Bavarian food and local beer.
